We, Fish & Bird, Adam and I, have our Victoria CD Release coming up, and so I made the poster for it: probably inspired by a certain underground comix artist. This poster was really fun to do!

recent sketchbook pages
His tiny knotted heart
Well I guess it never worked too good
The timber tore apart
And the water gorged the wood
You can hear her whispered prayer
For men at masts that always lean
That the same wind that moves her hair
Moves her boy through Fiddler's Green
this song is so damn good.
Anyhow, here's some recent sketchbook stuff:

Mississippi John Hurt - Lonesome Valley Blues
This is where I drew the second last panel in my John Henry comic from. This video is also too fucking awesome for words.
hammered his fool self to death.

No drawings right now, but...
I'm making a comic of John Henry for a school project, so maybe I'll post some sketches for that once I have something neat to look at. Soon!
Also, I added Jenny's comics to my blog links, woo!
In other news, Iron and Wine is so damn good. So is life. Who knows why.

ban-jo in tha ear-ly A-M
Off to mayyyyyyne island tomorrow. I just found my Mammals CD I've been looking for, so hooray for that! Here's me in the resulting fit of old-timey joy, or maybe one of my completely random fits of old timey joy that happen the rest of the time when there's nothing in particular to celebrate. Cept the beauty of life! Hmm. Seems like I'm teetering on the edge of a nonsensical babbling spree so I believe I shall quit while I'm ahead, and still making some semblance of sense.
Goodnight moon - you are a glorious orb and make the night a beautiful thing. Also your monthly cycle seems to have some effect on people's bodies, like women's and werewolves', and I think that it super cool and mysterious.
Your earthbound admirer, Taylor

Not Feelin So Good...
Wednesday, January 24, 2007
Took my bike out today because its finally sunny and I had most of the day off. Sat down to read in Stanley Park when I realised I had forgotten to bring my book, silly me! So instead I just sat for a while and pondered existence. Its nice to sit and not feel the need to engage in anything in particular, and just enjoy being outside, and being alive. Anyways here's some more drawings, one of which could have gone in my last post had I not overlooked it, but oh well:
Pregnant creature of some sort.
A person I saw on the ferry, looking grumpy and watching some TV show on her laptop.
:-)
This is the most recent drawing so far.

Gotta love life when you see the first signs of spring, I say.

Uh Oh, Naked Bodies...
Well, I was scanning some stuff from my journal again and noticed that quite a few of the drawings shared a similar theme, so I'm putting them all together in one post. I'm still in the process of attempting to figure out what a body actually looks like, here's some of my trials and errors, some a little more anatomically correct than others:
